Leave a legacy for the Delta Botanical Gardens

If you and your family look forward to spending time in any of the Delta Botanical Garden landscapes, you can leave an enduring gift to the Delta Botanical Gardens.
All new garden  developments are primarily funded by generous gifts that assure the future of the Gardens. Each gift becomes an impetus to spur on the next dream for the Gardens’ future.

The Delta Botanical Gardens is an inspiring example of how giving to the community can leave a treasure to enrich future generations.  If you love Gardens, and look forward to fond memories spent here, you too can leave a lasting gift.

We are all looking for ways to make a difference and to have a lasting impact on this earth. Planned giving is a great way to make an enduring contribution to the Delta Botanical Gardens while taking advantage of favorable federal and state tax laws.  Simply put, planned giving is a way to make sure that those organizations and causes that you care about will live on and your values will be reflected.  Leave a legacy that future generations can see, feel, touch, smell, and immerse themselves in.

If you would like to set up a meeting with the General Manager before you donate please feel free to call 662-299-3462 or email him at info@caninc.org and request a time to meet.
Our biggest need at the present time is not only the land, but the finances for the basic day to day organizational work.  (Internet charges, fundraising material, office supplies, printing cost, fuel for traveling around the Delta etc.)  We will also be taking on some beautification projects around the county that will need basic gardening material.  Every little bit helps, and we thank you in advance for your assistance and generosity.

Checks must be made out to Community Advance Network, Inc. we will be able to accept credit card donations within the next few months.  We ask that you do not send cash by mail but call and we will set up a time to meet with you.  Please remember you time is as valuable as any financial donation, so call and see where you can make a difference.

When you want your giving to grow year after year … plant your money in the garden

The Delta Botanical Gardens is not in the business of giving estate and financial planning advice.  Each of our supporter’s financial and philanthropic goals is unique. We recommend that you visit with your qualified financial advisor and we welcome your ideas for leaving a lasting legacy with the Gardens.

Planned giving benefits your current and future tax situations and provide personal satisfaction while securing the future of the Delta Botanic Gardens, its mission and its  volunteers.  You can help ensure that future generations will have a place of respite, education, community pride, inspiration, and sheer beauty.

There is a myriad of charitable gift planning techniques that can perpetuate your values and your dedication to the mission of the Delta Botanical Gardens on a tax favored basis.  Well thought out planned giving may  allow you to pass on more of your estate to your children while sustaining the future of the Gardens.  Many times    people find they are able to give much more than they ever thought possible. In some cases, the tax savings can pay for a substantial part of the gift.  Then you get the joy of contributing to your dreams, not paying in tax dollars.
Listed here are some of the more common ways to invest in the Gardens through planned giving:

Bequests A bequest can be made to the Gardens through your will or revocable living trust.  There are several types of bequests that can be discussed with your financial advisor. You may leave a specific dollar amount, specific property or a  percentage or the residue of your estate.

Name a Beneficiary Designate the  Gardens as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, insurance policy, gift annuity, trust, will, securities, or financial accounts.

Giving Appreciated Assets Donate appreciated securities, real estate, personal property, or insurance policies outright.  Your gift is transferred to the Gardens while avoiding capital gains taxes and possibly reducing other taxes.
